Pierce Festival of Trees

December 4, 2016 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Event Navigation

Ready for a warm, friendly community get-together? Join the Pierce Gem Team’s evening of fun, Friday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Pierce Community Center.

This annual community fundraiser is full of donated decorated wreaths, garlands, trees, gift baskets, specialty foods, artwork, and much more.

These one-of-a-kind holiday items will be auctioned during the evening. The engaging Leroy Kuykendall will again conduct this lively event.

All proceeds fund the many community projects that the Pierce Gem Team has in the works, or conducts annually.

Some of the current projects have been the refurbishing of the ballfield bleachers (with help from the IDYCA Cadets), and the new colorful Main Street light pole banners. The ongoing projects are Clean-Up Day, research for the Self-Guided Tour of Pierce, and the new idea in the works, the Restaurant Server Workshop.

There is more to this evening! Amazing refreshments to whet the auction appetite, and entertainment by the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy Cadet Choir during the item viewing, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. There will be grab gift giveaways, plus the colorful centerpieces, make sure to get your drawing ticket!

The community kids are never left out. Supervised kids’ crafts will be offered in the fireplace room during the auction, so everyone has a good time.

The annual Festival of Trees is presented entirely by community volunteers, from the crafters, bakers, the financial managers, the auctioneer, the finger foods, and the entertainment to the other often unseen people who step-up when the need arises. This is truly the Pierce spirit.

For donations of crafts, artwork, etc., please contact Kathy at 464-1083 or Rob at 464-2736.
